School Counselors & Community Based Organizations
High schools and community-based organizations play a huge role in helping young women prepare for the future. Please know that we are continually impressed by and grateful for your work! Many of your students might be a great fit for Mount Mary University.
Who we are
Mount Mary University is a small, private all-women’s university that is focused on developing the whole person. We provide individual, hands-on support to each student in a tight-knit community and creative environment. Our social justice and mission-based focus empowers graduates to transform their communities and the world.
National recognition for graduating diverse and low-income students
The 2021 U.S. News and World Report’s ranking of best colleges recognizes Mount Mary for overall growth, and successful outcomes in graduating diverse and low-income students. These rankings underscore the university’s focus on equity for students, regardless of economic or first-generation status, or ethnicity.
In April 2020 Mount Mary achieved federal status as a Hispanic-Serving Institution. With one in four undergraduate students at Mount Mary identifying themselves as Hispanic, Mount Mary is one of only two colleges in Wisconsin to receive this designation.
The admissions process
- Students can apply to Mount Mary via our free online admission application.
- A student's admission counselor will follow up to request her official high school transcript.
- Mount Mary is now test optional, so students can decide whether or not they want to include their ACT or SAT test score as part of their admission application. Regardless of whether or not an ACT or SAT score is submitted, Mount Mary will award each student the highest merit scholarship amount possible based on the academic information provided.
Scholarships
