Nationally Renowned Poet Visits Mount Mary

An Evening of Poetry and Jazz

April 9, 2013 - Lenard D. Moore, a nationally known poet, essayist, fiction writer, playwright, and book reviewer, visited with students at Capitol West Academy, a Milwaukee Charter School, on April 9th. He read his poetry to the accompaniment of local jazz musician James Dallas. Students read a Haiku poem they created for Moore and learned about sources of inspiration for writing poetry.
