"Writers on Writing" Presents Sci-Fi Authors Matt Forbeck and Patrick Tomlinson
Novel based on TV show Leverage, art of creating dystopian worlds explored
MILWAUKEE (November 1, 2013) – Nationally known Wisconsin authors Matt Forbeck and Patrick Tomlinson will present “Science Fiction and Fantasy: Writers on World and Language Building,” a panel discussion on writing fantasy and science fiction on Tuesday, November 12th at 6:30 p.m. at Mount Mary University, Helfaer Hall, 2900 N. Menomonee River Parkway. The event, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the University’s Master of Arts in English Program and is part of the “Writers on Writing” series.
Matt Forbeck has been a full-time creator of award-winning fiction, games and toys since 1989. He has twenty-three novels published to date, including his novel The Con Job, which is based on the TV showLeverage. His latest work includes Magic: The Gathering comic book, the MMOs Marvel Heroes, and Ghost Recon Online. Patrick Tomlinson is a lifelong sci-fi fan and storyteller. His first book, The Wererat’s Tale: The Collar of Perdition, was recently published by New Babel Books.
