Spots Still Available in Art, Fashion Summer Camps
Registration open now until June 22
A few spots are still open for Mount Mary University's upcoming summer camps which offer flexible scheduling, affordable pricing and unique activities for kids and teens who want to have fun and expand their creativity in art, music and fashion.
"Creative Connections," for K-8 graders, takes place the weeks of June 22 and July 6. This year's theme, "Reflections - Stop, Look and Listen," features engaging activities that awaken all of the senses and blend art, music and movement.
Campers can choose from an exciting mix of 8 different classes that explore everything from sculpture and print making to stop-motion animation and costume design. The music workshops include "Rhythm Reflections" and "Mirror in My Music."
The two and a half hour, hands-on studio workshops run Monday through Friday. Morning art sessions run from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. Afternoon art sessions run from 12:00 - 2:30 p.m. Music sessions run from 2:45 - 4:30 p.m.
The art camp costs $95 for each 5-day morning or afternoon session and includes supplies. The music camp costs $80 for each 5-day session. Discounts are offered for three or more classes. All classes are held at Mount Mary University and are taught by faculty members, students, and alumnae of Mount Mary's art and music departments.
A free, final gallery exhibition, music performance and celebration reception will be held Saturday, July 11, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in the Marian Gallery for all camp participants and their families and friends.

The fashion design session is full, but spots are still open for exploring fashion styling and the behind-the-scenes business of fashion. Planning and staging a mini-fashion show, creating photos shoots, styling outfits and creating fashion displays for store windows are a few of the activities offered. All sessions will be presented by Mount Mary's fashion department faculty and designers.
Registration is $400. The fee includes supplies, snacks and beverages. Lunch is included.
