Mount Mary Welcomes New Vice President of Finance
Brian Olson, Ph.D. has been named the vice president of finance and administrative services for Mount Mary University. Olson joins the university with extensive leadership experience in finance, operations and academics in the for-profit and non-profit sectors of higher education. He will assume the role beginning March 17, 2025.
In addition to Olson’s leadership in higher education, he brings extensive expertise in financial and operations management for both corporate and religious institutions.
Olson earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a doctoral degree from Capella University in Minneapolis. He is an avid volunteer, serving in non-profit organizations such as the United Way, St. Croix Hospice and the Christian League for the Handicapped, Inc. Olson is also a co-founder and part owner of a bio-tech firm dedicated to fighting childhood cancers.
