Rachel Monaco-Wilcox is CEO, Executive Director and Founder of LOTUS Legal Clinic.  The Clinic has achieved recognition for ground-breaking legal precedent for victims law in the areas of sexual violence and human trafficking, including representation of victims in Wisconsin’s largest labor trafficking case in history and the first ever award of restitution for a victim of sex trafficking in state court.  Rachel has received numerous awards for survivor advocacy, philanthropy, leadership and presents nationwide on the work of LOTUS. She has provided expert testimony for courts and taught at Mount Mary University in law and art therapy for the past eight years. She holds a law degree cum laude from Marquette University law school, clerked for the Wisconsin Supreme Court, and is a Fulbright Scholar. She is an accomplished ultra-marathoner and recently won Female Master’s Champion in the Ice Age Trail 50k.  She lives on an unruly acre of farm country north of Milwaukee with her two Vizsla dogs and her husband, whose’ passion is feeding people with giant pumpkins and maple syrup.

 

Continuing Education Hours

Mount Mary University is an NBCC-Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEPTM), No. 4529, and may offer NBCC-approved clock hours for events that meet NBCC requirements. The ACEP solely is responsible for all aspects of the program.

Location, Parking and Campus Map

See campus map. Please use the entrance from 92nd St. and park in Lot B. This parking lot is closest to Bergstrom Hall where the morning begins. The registration and keynote will take place in the Alumnae Dining Room at Mount Mary University. The sessions are in various classrooms on campus which will be clearly marked on your personalized agenda. We're all friendly - feel free to say hello and ask anyone on campus for help.
